I can't tell you how many times Illustrator crashed while I was working on this. All three of its files corrupted and the entire program glitched and shut down multiple times.
However, it is done. I would like to work more on it, but either my computer or the program can't handle it. The image looks simple, but because every stroke is transparent, it takes massive amounts of memory and graphics to render it.
For 's contest;
My characters the Butterfly Prince and Copperbolt, his young bride, dressed up- Butterfly is a peacock and Copperbolt is a phoenix. Yes, she's tiny compared to him! Back when they'd be going to dress parties in their home land, she was only two while he's four or five, hence the size difference. That, and he's an Arab while she's an Icelandic.
Wow very pretty. Ah I hate to hear that AI crashed on you photoshop does it too me all time so I've learned to save like every 3 secs Great work. By the way are you using a tablet?
Oh wow, hun! This is absolutely gorgeous! I love the design of this.
Thanks so much for entering!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P

Yeah, I use an Intuos 3 tablet for this. I bought it off Ebay a couple years ago, and it's worked great.
